Academic Remote Desktop
Description
Academic remote desktop provides a secure and convenient way to access a Windows desktop with many of the same applications that installed in the physical computer labs. Users can use the remote desktop for academic purposes.
The school provides two options for remote access to academic lab software.
- McKelvey Remote Desktop - a browser based tool that allow students to access less graphically intensive applications for course related activities. It is important to note that you must be on campus or connected to the university VPN to access this service.
- Apporto - a browser base tool that provides increase capability for more graphically intensive applications for course related activities.

Service Request
All students, faculty and staff involved in McKelvey classes have access to this service. If you are taking a class in McKelvey and do not have access, please contact support@seas.wustl.edu.
Service Delivery
Connecting to this service with Safari is not supported. If there are issues connecting, please try connecting with a alternate web browser.
To connect with a web browser, navigate to the URL below and login with your WUSTL Key credentials.

Some applications that are typically installed in our computer labs are not available on the RHSH infrastructure. This is typically due to graphic limitations of this infrastructure or licensing restrictions that limit our ability to provide a specific package in this way.
Connection using the remote desktop application on Windows or Mac is not supported at this time. Please use a web brower as detailed above.
