What played into your decision to get a graduate engineering degree?
I pursued a graduate engineering degree because I’m passionate about solving complex problems and wanted to deepen my technical expertise. The advanced degree also opens more career opportunities in specialized fields of engineering.

Why did you pick WashU?
I chose WashU for its outstanding reputation in engineering, the quality of its research programs, and the opportunity to learn from renowned faculty. The university’s strong industry connections and the collaborative environment were also significant factors.

What is your favorite thing about St. Louis?
My favorite thing about St. Louis is its incredible food scene and the warmth of its people. I’m particularly fond of Pizzoli’s Pizza and the diverse culinary offerings in The Grove and Soulard. Rockwell Beer Gardens is a personal highlight for me, epitomizing the city’s vibrant atmosphere. Beyond the food, St. Louis offers a rich tapestry of cultural experiences, especially downtown. The Midwest charm and the friendliness of the locals add to the city’s unique and welcoming spirit.

What advice would you give to a new student?
Embrace every learning opportunity with an open mind. Balance your academic pursuits with extracurricular activities to broaden your skills and interests. Don’t hesitate to ask for help or guidance from professors and peers. And most importantly, make time for self-care to maintain your well-being throughout your educational journey.

What are your plans for the future?
I plan on entering the finance industry as an analyst after graduation.
