Where did you complete your undergraduate degree?

Please provide your lab and description of research
I work in the LewLab with Dr. Matthew Lew. Our research focuses on developing techniques to break optical diffraction limit in imaging single molecules.
What played into your decision to get a graduate engineering degree?
I found myself still lacking the advanced knowledge that is needed in the field, and I thoroughly enjoy the immersive research environment that a university offers. Furthermore, a graduate program provides the opportunities for me to train both technical and professional soft skills, which can make me more competitive in the job market.
Why did you pick WashU?
WashU is a prestigious school in engineering, and one of the newest PhD programs in Imaging Science fits perfectly with my research interest.
What is your favorite thing about St. Louis?
St Louis has the largest urban park located at the heart of the city. It is a wonderful to-go place for the weekends. You can enjoy the sunlight at Art Hill or simply visit art museum and zoo.
What advice would you give to a new student?
Work hard and play harder.
