Tucker Krone's current passion focuses on integrating community engagement, social justice, equity, diversity and inclusion into both technical and non-technical engineering courses.Biography
Tucker Krone joined the faculty in McKelvey Engineering at WashU in 2017. From 2012 to 2017, Tucker was a graduate student at the University of Iowa where he worked as a Lead Biostatistician on a Phase 2 clinical trial. He is an active member in both ASA and ENAR professional societies.
In addition to teaching courses, Tucker is a member of a EDI Working Group and the PhD Student Professional Development group within the McKelvey School of Engineering, as well as the campus wide Health and Wellness Committee. Tucker’s background as a WashU BME alumna inspires him to stay involved on campus; he serves as a faculty adviser for the oSTEM student group, mentor for the McKelvey Engineering Mentor Program, and Faculty Associate for first-year students.
Tucker loves WashU so much, he decided to come back and teach! He hopes to inspire and motivate the next generations of engineers. He's a member of the LGBTQIA+ community.
