Biography

Sharniece Holland Trogler joined Washington University in St. Louis in 2019. She teaches courses on manufacturing processes, defects in materials, and materials characterization. She also coordinates the Washington University Summer Engineering Fellowship program, which provides undergraduate students with research experience.

Previously, she was a postdoctoral fellow in mechanical engineering at Auburn University, where she studied additive manufacturing and served as an instructor for the Academic Excellence STEM Summer Bridge Program. Her graduate studies in Alabama were supported by the Southern Regional Education Board Dissertation Scholar Fellowship, the Alabama NASA EPSCoR Graduate Research Scholars Program, the National Science Foundation Bridge to Doctorate Fellowship, and the NSF Alabama Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation Program Scholarship.

Holland Trogler was also a guest speaker for the University of Arkansas College of Engineering Community and Engagement Zoom series.
