Synthetic biology seminar series begins Aug. 26
The series features early-career faculty, students, postdocs and prominent researchers
Early-career faculty members students and postdoctoral researchers in synthetic biology will be featured in a year-and-a-half-long virtual seminar series beginning Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021.
The SynBio Young Speaker Series is organized and hosted by Tae Seok Moon, associate professor of energy, environmental & chemical engineering in the McKelvey School of Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis. It will feature nearly 70 speakers, including 11 National Academy members, including Frances Arnold, the Linus Pauling Professor of Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry and Bioengineering Director, Donna and Benjamin M. Rosen Bioengineering Center Division of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at CalTech; 62 emerging faculty and young synbio members; representatives from various funding agencies; and editors of various journals will present their work primarily on Thursdays at 10 a.m. CT.
Moon said he organized the series to support young scientists and engineers and their research.
