Habib Chamoun-Nicolas and his colleagues have produced three new book chapters, culminating from their participation in the VI International Congress on Teacher Innovation and Research in Higher Education in Sevilla, Spain, in November.

The chapters are designed to advance methods to increase student engagement in higher education, particularly within online learning environments. The authors say they recognize the need to enhance connection and motivation among students in a post-pandemic era and provide solutions. Each chapter is set to be published by a Q1 Web of Science publisher.

Collaborating with Francisco Rabadán Pérez from the University Rey Juan Carlos in Spain and doctoral candidate Maria Victoria Ramirez Muñoz from the University Catholic of the West in Angers, France, Chamoun and his coauthors examine various engagement strategies across different contexts.

Their chapters are titled:

"In-Person Engaging Higher Education Teaching Methodology Modified to Increase Student Engagement in an Online Teaching Environment" by Chamoun-Nicolas, H.; Ramirez-Muñoz, M.V.; and Rabadán Pérez, F.

"Student Profiles per Level of Engagement" by Rabadán Pérez, F.; Chamoun-Nicolas, H.; and Ramirez-Muñoz, M.V.

"Word Clouds for Academic Articles about Student At-Risk of Engagement in Higher Education: A Call for More Humane Teaching" by Ramirez-Muñoz, M.V.; Rabadán Pérez, F.; and Chamoun-Nicolas, H.
