Expertise
Explores how we can control objects with our minds
Focus
Neuroprosthetics, neural engineering, brain computer interfaces, motor control
Research
Daniel Moran's research interests include voluntary motor control and neuroprostheses. He works to understand how the brain controls voluntary upper arm movements and he is also working to identify alternative control signals for brain-computer interfaces, which restores function in patients who have paralysis or neuromuscular disorders.
Biography
Prior to joining Washington University in St. Louis in 2001, Professor Dan Moran studied motor systems neurophysiology as a junior and associate fellow at the Neurosciences Institute in San Diego, California.
