Kevin Brennan

Biography

Kevin Brennan is a STEM educator who specializes in computational modeling, mathematics, and solid mechanics. Born and raised in Indianapolis, he graduated from Rose-Hulman with a degree in mechanical engineering in 2010 and then pursued graduate research in powder mechanics at Purdue. In 2013, he founded Brennan Tutoring, which focused on STEM educational support for students of all ages. Kevin moved to St. Louis in 2015, and he began teaching courses at WashU in 2021. He earned a Master's degree from WGU in learning experience design and educational technology in 2023; he began working full-time at WashU as a lecturer in the division of engineering education the next year. Kevin is an officer in the mathematics division of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE). He currently teaches courses in engineering mathematics, introductory calculus, and ethics, and he's a member of the WashU academic integrity board.
