Self-assembled peptide nanofibers as vaccine platforms for neurodegenerative disease

Research

In Rudra lab, Piyoosh’s research is focused on engineering peptide nanofiber-based adjuvant- and inflammation-free vaccine systems for neurodegenerative diseases. Piyoosh is also interested in applying Mass spectrometry-based proteomics tools to investigate the changes in immune cells proteomes with response to antigen delivery.

Biography

Piyoosh joins Washington University in Saint Louis as Research Assistant Professor in Jai Rudra’s lab. He was a postdoctoral fellow in Stephen Fried’s Lab at Department of Chemistry, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore (2020-25). He earned his PhD degree from IIT (BHU), India in Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry, and was awarded with a Young Scientist Fellowship from Department of Health Research (DHR), India.
