Jha receives Distinguished Investigators Award

The award from Academy for Radiology & Biomedical Imaging Research recognizes contributions to medical imaging

Abhinav Jha, associate professor biomedical engineering in the McKelvey School of Engineering and of radiology in the Mallinckrodt institute of Radiology (MIR) at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, is one of four faculty at Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology to receive the Distinguished Investigators Award from the Academy for Radiology & Biomedical Imaging Research. This honor recognizes individuals from academic and industry institutions for their outstanding contributions to medical imaging.

Jha is a principal investigator in the Precision Radiotheranostics Translation Center. His research focuses on developing novel physics and artificial intelligence (AI)-based methods for image reconstruction, image enhancement, image analysis and task-based image-quality evaluation.
