Three McKelvey Engineering staff honored with awards
Awards honor leadership, service to school
Three McKelvey Engineering staff members have been named Distinguished Honors Awardees for their leadership and service to the school. They will be recognized May 21.
Natalie Goodwin-Frank, director of research development & administration, will be given the Leadership Award, which recognizes McKelvey staff members who have displayed exemplary leadership in planning and executing initiatives or activities within McKelvey Engineering, or staff members who have consistently displayed leadership attributes in their positions.
Angel Algarin, senior department administrator in the Preston M. Green Department of Electrical & Systems Engineering, and Kim Simpson, graduate program adviser in biomedical engineering, will each receive a staff service award, which recognizes McKelvey staff members for outstanding workplace achievements or exceptional performance that goes above and beyond the expectations for their positions.
“I am thrilled to see Natalie, Angel and Kim being recognized for all that they do for the McKelvey School of Engineering,” said Aaron F. Bobick, dean and the James M. McKelvey Professor. “Our staff not only keep the school going, but their dedication helps push us forward to achieve more. We the faculty simply could not do our jobs without them. I extend my personal thanks as well as the thanks of the entire school.”
